About

Hello everybody, my name is Kara Beseler, and this is my Communications 210 wordpress blog. This blog was created for the class com 210 as a communication and teaching tool for the students and instructors. For the purposes of this blog, we were instructed to choose a topic to write about for the majority of the semester, and I choose the topic “about me”.

A little about me, I grew up in Medical Lake Washington, where I also went to high school. I like to think that the most important thing in my life is Jesus Christ, I love worshiping and being in fellowship with my brothers and sisters. My Church back home, Crossroads Christian Fellowship, is my second family, leaving them behind to come to WSU was one of the hardest things I’ve done, but I’m hopeful I’ll find a good church down here.

Aside from the volunteer and children’s work I do at church, I love to read, watch TV, hang out with friends, read funny articles online, watch youtube videos, and horseback ride. Very recently however, I had to sell the horse that I broke and rode for eleven years in order to come here to WSU. I wish that there was some way I could keep my horse and come here, but it was a sacrifice I was willing to make. On the bright side, I still have my fat, three-legged, standard poodle Boomie, who I plan on taking up here with me next year when I can get an apartment.

Although my major is a little unclear at this point, ideally I’d like to go into a career in research, either pharmaceutical or another form of clinical research. I’m considering majoring in biochemistry or microbiology, though I’m going to keep my options open and pursue any classes that I thoroughly enjoy.
